Jerry's Jet Boat
The most convienent way to get to the lodge is on a jet boat from Gold Beach. The world-famous Jerry's Rogue Jets offers an exciting, scenic, and entertaining 52-mile trip to Half Moon Bar Lodge that you won't soon forget. Book a round trip with Jerry's after you have booked your room at the lodge, and be sure to let them know you are staying overnight at Half Moon. You can stay for as many nights as you like—Jerry's will pick you up at our dock for the return trip on your day of departure. Jerry's runs from May to September.
Hike
Hike the scenic Rogue River Canyon in luxury. Contact Momentum or ROW to make a reservation for your raft-assisted hike, and be sure to mention you want to stay at Half Moon Bar Lodge. They will transport your luggage to the lodge and ferry you across the river from the trail to the lodge. You can you enjoy the scenic hike with just a day pack!
Float
Groups that are new to rafting or want a hosted experience can book a lodge trip with one of our partner guide companies on the Lower Rogue: Ouzel, Helfrich, ROW, Momentum, or Oregon River Experiences. These companies provide a luxury experience on the Rogue. Be sure to mention you want to stay at Half Moon Bar Lodge!
Experienced boaters can build their own trip. The Rogue is a regulated-use river from May 15th to October 15th with permits by lottery. Apply for the permit with the Bureau of Land Management. Be sure to book your room at Half Moon Bar Lodge soon after permits are awarded in January. If you pick up a day-of-launch permit, call us for availability. Staying at the lodge can make a last-minute trip that much more convenient!
Fly
Private Helicopter Charters from Medford Airport are available. Air charter is also available into Gold Beach from the most west coast major airports. The Gold Beach airport is adjacent to Jerry's Jet Boat harbor so easy transfers are possible.
